Necro's fall

IRIS’s first day on the early Potato SMP (Potato SMP: Season 2 "Mekanism!") was a bloody one. Suresh died saving him and lost everything he was carrying. Then came the rescue party: nYx, who went by Necro, set out with prop to help, and fell through a hole in the ground that was a single block wide into a ravine, losing all his gear as well.

nYx insisted that it was no ordinary hazard. “it was literally one block hole,” he said, “and was hidden completely unless i went in sneak and went close to it” ¹. It also was not new to him, as something similar had once happened to him on Origin SMP (Necro Origin SMP).

IRIS’s own version was less sympathetic: “necro died on his own” ².

prop set about repairing the damage. He crafted nYx “full set of refined obi armour and a jetpack and free runners” ³. It was a generous kit, and it did not work as medicine. By the end of the month prop declared that Necro, “even though he wouldnt admit it”, had “basically quit on the server” ⁴. nYx mostly stopped playing.
