Ender Pearl Stasis

Ender pearl stasis chambers keep a thrown pearl hovering in place, so that closing a trapdoor pulls its owner back to it. prop was the group’s resident expert across several worlds.

In Season 1 he built chambers for himself and his friends and used them as teleporters. “Now if we close trapdoor we will get teleported here,” he explained on 21 July 2021 ¹, and Suresh promptly asked for one of his own. They learned the limit the hard way: “it only works if we are in the same dimesnion” ².

In ASMP Earth, Abishek asked to set one up in his room, so that prop could flip a trapdoor and bring him home when he got stuck in ancient cities. prop’s recipe was a solid water hole five to seven blocks deep with “a trapdoor on top that i can flip down to bring u back” ³. Abishek’s reply was “stasis set” ⁴.

In the current world, The Return, pearls now load chunks, and the trick has a cost. prop scolded Kart: “you know that pearls now load chunks right?” ⁵ Kart’s pearl sat “in a place with fucking 40 villagers” ⁶. Elsewhere, someone also left 30 stacks of pearls at prop’s base, which prop wanted explained ⁷ and which was put down to the wind.
