Season 1 had a story that the friends were quietly writing as they played. prop, who kept the chronicle, gave it two rules.
Let it happen
In October 2021 he told Levi not to engineer events on purpose for the sake of the story. The instruction was blunt: “dont do shit just to be lore”. 1 The story should simply “happen”, because “if we do things wantedly for lore” then “it will kill the server”. 2
No canon lives
Two months later he set out how death works in the lore. “We dont have canon lives on the server.” 3 A player is dead only “if they themselves declare it”. 4 Dying in the game, which happens to everyone constantly, doesn’t count. A declared death is also hard to undo, since they “can come back alive only under very special curcumstances”. 5
Together the rules kept the lore from being forced and stopped players from being killed off by accident. They explain why deaths in the museum’s pages are treated as part of the story only when the player says so.
