Prop's Elevator and Mine

A mini Create quarry dug a shaft to the bottom of the world and became a scroll-to-select elevator to the best iron level.

The first step was a drill. On 2 November 2023 prop built a “mini 5x5 quarry machine” of Create drills to dig an elevator shaft to the bottom of the world. It was meant as the primary source of resources for his new base, with a functional elevator to replace the drill eventually. 1

Later that day: “Quarry elevator done”. 2 A little after: “elevator done”, with instructions to “point your crosshair on this and scroll to select a floor and then right click to go there”. 3 The elevator is a Create double elevator pulley. A wooden tower with a big wheel stands on the surface, by a lake.

Prop also set a house rule: “please do all your drilling away from anywhere close to the hole of this elevator”. 4

It kept growing. On 9 November he added a new floor to the mining elevator, and it leads “to the best y level for iron”. 5 The elevator replaced the older quarry setup, see prop's Base.
