prop’s trading hall in Season 2 was a villager hall wired to a supersmelter. Over time it went wrong in the way villager halls do.
On 2022-12-11 prop inspected it and was not pleased: “there literally random holes everywhere”, including “a fucking hole below a villager that falls down into the supersmelter”. 1 2 The chat suggests the damage came from a collaboration that went badly, with villagers in boats, minecarts and shafts. Prop also blamed a partner for messing up the hall and then going inactive. 3 The fuss is covered in The Trading Hall Dispute.
His answer was to start fresh. He announced that he would be “reclaiming the cave waterfall” beneath his base for his own new hall, on a spot Fili had reserved. 4 5
The ambition was an “everything 1 emerald” hall, though prop admitted it was not a one-man job. A sign-board listed the farms it would need. 6 7
The hall was later given a visual upgrade with new 1.20 blocks, and a cherry wood hall followed, built with no set purpose. IRIS suggested “women trade”. The Season 2 hall itself was reportedly damaged by unexplained anarchy-style explosions.
