The Adventure-Map Nights

For a week in September 2021 the friends put survival aside and played custom adventure maps. On 17 September prop announced, “we are going to play some map”. ¹ kira’s machine hosted Parkour Spiral 2 in place of Axolotl, so prop told Kart to leave: “kira is hosting axolotl now”. ²

The group took roughly an hour and a half to finish the spiral as a team. The session ended when the server ran out of memory from too many block updates, and Kart’s reaction was “server crashed lol”. ^{3 4}

nYx could not let it go. He kept speedrunning the spiral alone, chasing an S rank: “now im just speedrunning that shit”. ⁵ His times fell from 17:39 to 15:55, to 14:51 on Parkour Spiral 2 and finally 13:06. Kart complained that he hated parkour. ⁶

The nights moved on. prop hosted the Consequence map on a free Aternos server, and the chat suggests Kart later hosted Parkour Biomes and a prison-escape map. ⁷ On 23 September they played the Payday 2: Endgame heist map. ⁸

The same evening kira shut down the server so he, prop, nYx, IRIS and Suresh could play a custom map on Minecraft 1.7.2 with a resource pack, and Kart got a cheerful “no kids sorry”. ^{9 10} When prop said “map done”, he asked kira to put Axolotl back, this time with the Servux mod. ^{11 12}
