On 2 April 2024, DeathHack127 turned up in the chat asking prop what, exactly, was going on on this server. 1
Prop’s answer was short: the server would take almost any mod “as long as its not too broken”, and it ran on Fabric 1.20.1. 2 3 That meant importing the mod zip into Prism, and, as DeathHack127 soon found out, getting past the network wall: “wthout wireguard i cant play right??” 4 kira handed out the WireGuard access, and after several failed attempts DeathHack127 logged in at spawn.
Prop then gave the newcomer the full welcome. DeathHack127 announced he would “take some seeds to start farming”, and prop pointed him at the Iron Factory (“is iron factory”) and showed him the giant elevator down to bedrock. 5 6 DeathHack127 asked whether diamond tools were worth it or whether he should build machines, and prop’s verdict was that diamond tools beat most machines, and that Create could be played just like vanilla. 7 DeathHack127 (Levi) had arrived a little earlier with the same questions about mods, Prism and WireGuard.
It is a small moment, but it shows how Limbo took on new players near the end of its life: a few messages, a config file and a tour.
