The Minecraft Movie Outing

On 6 April 2025 IRIS dropped a two-word message into the chat, “Minecraft movie”, followed by “We must watch together” ¹. His reason, offered a few minutes later, was brief: “i want to watch only for techno ref” ². prop said he had already been asking around.

Planning then took five days. The group argued over Friday against Saturday, showtimes shifted, and prop pinged everyone in sight. On 9 April he posted the same message four times in the same minute, asking whether anyone was coming. IRIS, running out of patience, set an ultimatum: “ok time till end of day, if no one else is replying i am bookinig the 3 tickets” ³. Prop then asked five people whether the tickets were booked, and IRIS had to point out that he had booked only three ⁴. On 10 April prop reported that only the 12:20 show was available ⁵.

The outing went ahead on 11 April, with prop, IRIS and kira in the seats. Prop’s report to the chat was short: “We watched movie bro” ⁶, and then, “Clowned.”
