On 14 August 2023, with the 1.20 update fresh, prop announced “Operation Archealogy has started” 1 (his spelling). He flew to a village beyond the border of ASMP Earth and excavated a new archaeological site.
The server soon reported his reward, the advancement Respecting the Remnants for brushing a suspicious block and obtaining a pottery sherd 2. Armor trims came next, and prop posted them one by one: wayfinder 3, then host, raiser and more, with the comment that one “looks cool af”.
He ended the day with a goal. The rarest armor trim in the game, said to have a 1% chance in ancient city chests, became his pinned target.
The trim fever spread across the whole server in the following weeks, see Armor Trim Hunt and Desert Expedition and Trim Hunt.
