When Minecraft 1.20 introduced armor trims, Earth turned into a collecting race. prop asked whether they should “just grind netherite and get this armor trim on first” 1, and the group began copying templates with end stone and trading ideas on how to override trims 2. On 27 August 2023 prop and Abishek crafted their first trimmed sets, and prop stated his ambition outright 3 (see Trimmed Armor and First Netherite Tools):

That prize was the Silence trim. Prop pointed out it had a 1.2% chance to appear in any ancient city loot chest 4, and the hunt dragged the group through ocean monuments and ancient cities, with fortress trims on the side 5 6. On 2 September Abishek reported the result in two words: “got silence” 7 (see Silence Trim Obtained). Spare netherite was kept back for the gear that would follow 8.
Signature looks
The habit survived into Season 3. While planning in October 2024, nYx asked whether prop was “using flow armor trim”, settled on bolt for himself, and picked the guster banner pattern to go with it 9 10 11.
