prop's Cursed Events Rant

When nYx cancelled on yet another event, prop listed every Season 2 event that had gone wrong since IRIS's funeral and gave up on announcing them.

Event ASMP S2 7 Aug 2022

On 7 August 2022, nYx cancelled on another planned event, and prop reached his limit. “bro fuck events bro”, he wrote, 1 and then went through the record since “iris funeral”. 2

The charge sheet was:

  • The castle reveal, whose main part IRIS “came and blew up” before prop had even started recording. 3
  • The hide-and-seek event.
  • The ancient city exploration, which he called “kind of a success”, though only two people were there for most of it and a few more joined at the end. 4
  • The Ender Dragon event.

His conclusion was practical. He would stop announcing events and instead pull in whoever was online at the time. The rant also explains why so many later Axolotl events were improvised, with an organiser and whoever happened to be around.
