Before Axolotl SMP Season 2 could open its doors, someone had to build the floor. On 19 June 2022, kira did exactly that.
He had first tried the seed out in a 1.19 test world, and prop was asking how it looked a few days earlier. 1 On launch day kira started pre-generating the overworld, quoting a 50-minute ETA at 45 chunks a second. 2 Not long after, the verdict came in: “pregenning complete. server coming soon”. 3
Coming soon did not mean now. kira told prop the server would stay unexposed until the start event 4, and then shut it down again until the ceremony. 5
prop, meanwhile, had already been staring at the freshly rendered map, and he laid down the one rule of the waiting room: nobody gets to call dibs on land before the opening. The mooshroom island was the obvious temptation.
u cant claim and call dibs on shit before ceremony 6
