On 2024-05-04, just after the Summoning the Wither Storm, prop added a rule to the Axolotl Storm event, “for the sake of fun”. Any player who played while the Wither Storm was alive would get a journal and had to fill it in, and only at the end of each session, so that everyone ended up with a similar number of entries. The journals were to be published in the chat “for the lore” 1.
Prop and nYx got theirs straight away. For the others, prop had a starting point: he and nYx had witnessed the Storm and run into the Nether, and the rest were left behind and “considered missing or dead”. The journals could begin from there 2 3.
The books themselves were plain writable books handed out with a command, as prop explained when the next player asked for theirs 4. DeathHack127 (Levi) was keen, promising to “start cooking” as soon as he had the journal. By 05-08 the event’s own relayed chat noted that each player “gets to have a journal” 5.
