Japan

Japan was the Earth-server nation of nYx, who led it. By mid-2023 it also had a second ruler: Hayan, who managed the south while nYx kept the north. ¹ The pair had been discussing a proper name, and the one on the table was “Ukiyo”. ² See also the places Japan (Ukiyo) and Northern Japan.

Japan had a giant ore vein and a runway for the planes that Earth’s players flew between nations. nYx liked to point out that his country was the “first to move on to sustainable food source instead of hunter gatherer mindset”, having switched from hunting and gathering to farming early. ³

The nation also has a good in-joke. In August 2023 GrimWatch remarked that a “nuke arc” was coming next. nYx shut it down: “Nuke arc skipped bro”. ^{4 5}
