The 'axolotl' Machine and AxolotlShare

kira's new server PC was named axolotl for good, and it hosted the map, backups, side servers and a Nextcloud share for oversized mod files.

In March 2022 kira set up a new server PC and gave it a name that stuck. “yes the server’s name is gonna be axolotl even if the mc server dies,” he promised. 1 The machine ran far more than Minecraft. It served the map, a health page (2) and backups, and hosted Nextcloud. It also ran the The Pterodactyl Panel, which kira confirmed in April with “yeah that is pterodactyl”. 3 The chat also mentions Jellyfin and Transmission on it.

Side servers lived on the same box. When nYx wanted to connect to one, the address he posted was on port 25566. 4 The move to Pterodactyl is told in Axolotl Goes Professional: Docker and Pterodactyl.

AxolotlShare. In February 2023 kira shared a Nextcloud folder with a Season2.5 directory of mod files, because they were too big for Discord. 5 It was how the group distributed the Season 2.5 Mod List.

The machine’s own history is told in The Server on Kira's Home Connection.
