prop's S1 Chronicle

prop wrote Season 1's history as first-person diary chapters in

Curiosity ASMP S1 tradition

Season 1 had a historian, and he did not pretend to be neutral. prop wrote the server’s story in the #asmp-s1-history channel as titled chapters, flagged from the start with “(im writing from my perspective)”. 1

The chapter titles read like a fantasy saga: The Birth of the Clans, The Server Reborn, The Fall, The Alternate Timeline, The Council of Axolotl and The End of a Universe. Real server events got the epic treatment. In The Alternate Timeline, a backup restore became time travel, with everyone “sent 20 days into the past”, their farms and smelters gone. 2 In The Fall, the trouble starts when kira opens up the carpet bots, and prop discovers he can spawn bots under any name. 3 The last chapter, written in September 2022, mourns a server that “reach[ed] its peak extremely quickly”. 4

Newcomers were pointed to the channel to catch up. IRIS called it “raw script”; prop preferred “more like a diary entry from my perspective tbh”. 5 6

The habit carried into Season 2, where prop pinned a disclaimer to his lore logs: events are “purely for entertainment and mindless fun”, and the logs come from his own memory, so if he got something wrong, say so rather than rage. 7
