V3nnkat

V3nnkat, who also went by Venkat, “cyber” and “cyber phoenix”, joined the Discord on 24 May 2021 as a friend of Fili and prop ^{1 2}. He introduced himself in the chat with a flat “im venkat” ³, and prop supplied the full set of names: Discord “Cyber_Phoenix69”, Minecraft “seriphus” ⁴. Prop also vouched for him as the person who gave him his legit copy of Minecraft ⁵; the readers think he may be the same “venky” that prop and Fili mention fondly, but that is unconfirmed.

The Mekanism season

He arrived at the right moment for Potato SMP: Season 2 "Mekanism!", the “Potato SMP” Mekanism world (Potato SMP (It's Lore Now)), and went straight to work. Within hours he had built a daytime-only, zombie-less iron farm (V3nnkat's Iron Farm) ⁶. He then dug what he called “a insane mineshaft” (V3nnkat's Mineshaft), complete with a skeleton spawner and about 20 diamonds. Fili treated him as staff at their shared base, where he built another mob farm, and prop’s summary was “cyber do be grinding” ⁷. Hence the museum’s epithet for him: Fili’s employee of the month.

His progress was not tidy. A skeleton shot him into lava, and he died again in the End while going for elytra, leaving his items behind ⁸. He also cheered on prop’s builds in the screenshot channels (“That’s fire” ⁹) and joined the early voice-chat music sessions ¹⁰. He was also generous: he reportedly gave Fili the early resources behind his head start in the Mekanism race, and gifted him a copy of Terraria. In the museum’s memory he is the friend who showed up, built something absurd within hours, and then fell down it. He kept turning up in the chat long after the Mekanism world ended; the archive holds 385 of his messages, between May 2021 and July 2022.
