Antarctican Research Base

prop's mountain base at the bottom of the Earth map: a runway, a villager wing, a library corridor and a conference hall, all in service of a role-played research lab.

Place ASMP Earth base

When prop claimed the bottom of the world on ASMP Earth, he did not just build a base, he built a country. The Antarctica research base grew from June 2023 into a hub with a runway (“i guess i have to make a runway and airport at antartica”) and a heated conference hall. 1 2 The runway waypoint sits at 6778, 64, 4508. 3

The research lab

The role-play came with the build. prop shared “leaked images” from the station that supposedly revealed the secret behind Antarctica’s sudden growth in economy and power. 4 The base grew a villager wing, an iron farm, an enchanting area, and a visitor room (with a toilet, a mirror and lapis blocks) that prop made specifically for the meet-and-greet with kira. 5 See kira's State Visit to Antarctica.

Growing

By August the base had a themed library corridor, a trading hall, a small lava farm, a hoglin food farm and a hangar for planes. prop planned to re-theme the whole place as a “dark research base taken over by nature cherry blossom”. 6 By September it had a remodelled villager breeder, an upgraded hangar, bone-meal and XP farms and a room for Abishek, whom prop had made a citizen. 7 8
