The Book Shop was the corner of the Veteran Base where prop turned the Veterans’ enchanting hoard into a storefront. On 24 July 2021 he announced he was building “a proper place where ppl can buy books” 1, and within days the shelves were full: silk touch “stocked good” 2, and mending stocked up “lmao” 3.
Prices were famously friendly. “We have sharp 5 for 1 diamond smfh” 4, and the wider stock of unbreaking 3, mending, rockets, gunpowder, max gear and shulker boxes ran at a handful of diamonds at most; DeathHack127 offered a shulker box for four 5. Restocking was prop’s job (“just get from shop i will stock there”) 6, and by the end of July the shop needed restocking again, with prop promising to do it “after raid farm” 7.
The shop did do real business. On 27 October 2021 prop crowed “bruh we getting sales in book shop” 8, only for the buyer to turn out to be BotFragx, who had bought out the Aqua Affinity books by shift-clicking by mistake 9. Prop restocked and said so, on a totally unrelated note.
The shop did not outlast the autumn. On 25 November 2021 prop ticked it off the to-do list as “Demolish Book Shop - Done” 10.
