Enderman XP Farm

The server’s first proper source of XP was a one-hit enderman farm in the End, built by prop with help from kira. prop began it on 20 July 2021 (“i made the beginnings of the enderman xp farm”) ¹ and had it done on the 22nd ². His first test run took him to “level 40 in less than 2 mins” ³, and he called it a “community farm” ⁴, open to everyone. The design used endermites and a minecart, with carpet spawning platforms over the void. kira and prop then added a dropper and comparator-clock system to dispose of the surplus ender pearls ⁴. A week later Fili added a maxed enchanting table next to it for public use ⁵. The farm had quirks: it stopped working whenever another player loaded the End ⁶, and it was “always overloaded” with pearls, so prop kept promising a better disposal system ⁷. In September Kart gently suggested that the pearl disposal “might need an upgrade” ⁸.

It was heavily used. Players treated it as the server’s XP supply, and abi and Suresh used it for enchanting ⁹. Getting to it was the hard part. In October prop reported that Kart had “jump[ed] into the void trying to get to enderman xp farm” ¹⁰, and Kart himself warned others that if you accidentally see an enderman while AFK “u could get voided like me” ¹¹.
