Early in Season 1, on 12 July 2021, the chat turned into a diamond complaints desk. prop opened with a single word, “diamonds” 1, and the rest of the server found out why it needed saying: diamonds were almost nowhere to be found.
GrimWatch put it plainly: “no where tf are they” 2. kira had it worse, having “literally broke 6 iron picks” without turning up a single diamond 3. Iron, by contrast, was absurdly plentiful, so the pickaxes were not the problem.
The luck was uneven. prop had found 8 diamonds early, plus 4 more from a fortress, and Kart found some near lava. Grimwatch kept mining for about two hours and was finally rewarded: “8 diamonds vein wtf” 4.
The drought is a good snapshot of the early server, where diamonds were precious and everyone knew exactly who had some.
