The Glitchpop Axe

prop spent two days modelling a Glitchpop Axe at up to 256-pixel density, his most detailed model yet, and shipped it in ASMP Pack v2.0.

On 30 December 2021 prop opened the Blockbench window and announced “Glitchpop axe....”. 1 The model was based on Valorant references, and it came with a demand from IRIS: no pixels. Prop answered by deciding, “so i am going to attempt 256 pixel density”. 2

He finished the handle first, with only the blades left, which impressed nYx.

On New Year’s Eve he revealed it with an @here, calling it “the highest detailed model both texture wise and model wise i have ever made”. 3 Praise came in from kira, Levi, Saitama and RJ. It was destined for the netherite pickaxe: “netherite”. 4

It reached everyone on 2 January 2022 in ASMP Pack v2.0, which added “the long awaited glitchpop axe model to the netherite_pixkaxe”, plus a secret Death Note model first seen at The Revival Event. 5 It followed the first pack release, ASMP Pack v1.0: Stormbreaker and the Molten Pickaxe, and the custom model system behind it.
