Axolotl SMP Season 2.5 Goes Live

In February 2023 kira started a new Axolotl SMP linked to Discord, and prop, nYx, Hayan and DeathHack127 joined to play with Create and voice chat.

Event ASMP S2.5 10 Feb 2023

On 10 February 2023, a fresh Axolotl SMP came up: the Discord bridge posted “Server started!” and Axolotl SMP Season 2.5 was alive. 1

kira had set it up linked to the Discord, with JEI added for recipe browsing, and ran a few tests first. Then the players came in. prop, nYx and Hayan were the first, and DeathHack127 followed a few days later.

The pack was built around Create and Simple Voice Chat. prop asked on 11 February whether everyone had “the vc mod” 2, and on 13 February DeathHack127 was still hunting for it: “i dont see it ion my mods”. 3 Voice chat became a feature of the season, and Create gave it its machines, such as the steam engine that arrived in March.
