Dream SMP Casting

prop's list of which Axolotl SMP friend was which Dream SMP character, with prop himself cast as FitMC.

Curiosity ASMP S1 other

Long before the casting call, the server was already doing bits. In September 2021 prop and Kart filled chat with “canon” 1 2, a nod to Dream SMP style role-play and the skin swaps (see Skin Swap: Technoblade, Dream and Tommyinnit). In November 2021 kira asked “why are you dream” and abishekishere replied “i am grian” 3 4, so Dream and Grian skins were already in circulation.

On 23 December 2021 prop made it official in the announcements channel: “I have been thinking about the Axolotl SMP equivalents for Dream SMP” 5. His casting:

  • DeathHack127 as Technoblade, for being good at PvP and living far away 6
  • abishek as Tubbo, “good boi grinder” 7
  • Suresh as Sapnap 8
  • Kart as BadBoyHalo plus Skeppy, “dangerous because he breaks everyone’s shit”, and obsessed with his hole like Bad with the egg 9 (see Kart's Hole)
  • nYx as Ranboo and Snake as Jschlatt
  • kira as himself, since there was no equivalent

Prop first cast himself as Dream, then struck it out: prop = ~~Dream~~ FitMC, “le me with shit pvp skills” 10. He explained that he was the one documenting the server’s history, like the historians of 2b2t 11. Related: Axolotl SMP's Dream SMP Casting, Dream SMP-Style Roleplay, Technoblade Fandom.
