The star of Axolotl Storm was Cracker’s Wither Storm Mod, which brings the colossal evolved Wither of Minecraft: Story Mode into the game. prop announced the event on 2024-04-28 as a way to fill the time until 1.21 arrived. 1 The storm loads chunks itself, tracks players across the world and eats the terrain, growing through phases as it consumes. The version used was 1.20.1-4.0.1.1 on Forge, downloaded from Modrinth separately because it was too large to bundle with the rest of the pack. 2
Prop warned the players early: “its meant to last atleast 3 or 4 full sessions”. 3 Phase 3 brought a tractor beam, and on 2024-05-04 it was parked at the pink wool house’s door step. 4 Prop reckoned phase 4 was “the safest phase”. 5
The server console shows the toolkit: the phasometer, formidibombs, the command block book, and admin commands to evolve the storm, plus the mod’s wither sickness effect. 6 7 8
In June 2026 prop pinged the old crew (kira, Levi, nYx and Kart) with a Wither Storm Control mod showcase, which looks like a hint at a sequel. 9
