When Technoblade died in the summer of 2022, Emperor Sian decided to honour him properly. On 12 July he said he was going to start mining “for the techno memorial” because he needed a lot of diamonds 1, and that he would copy Philza’s statue for Technoblade 2. The first plan was a sword, “slanted instead of straight like philza”, with a brown clay hilt 3, while _eb (ntize) promised a gold-block crown 4.
The build grew into something odder. By 28 July there was an 8x8 giant creeper head with an automatic sculk-sensor door and a pig snout on the tower. Sian’s “i did it” drew prop’s note that “there is not supposed to be a layer of green under the creeper’s mouth” 5, and Sian’s answer, “the creeper isnt the point tho”, since the Technoblade statue was still to come on top 6. The base was circular, in stripped wood, and _eb noted that was “because the stairs are circular” 7.
On 29 July Sian wrote “Finally finished my techno statue” 8, and ntize called it a “masterpiece” 9. The finished piece is a crowned pig with a diamond sword.
