Season 2's relentless grinder, who forged the server's first netherite gear, made its only Warden kill and built a Technoblade memorial.

Emperor Sian (in game EmperorSian2460, “Sian” to everyone) arrived in Season 2 on 2022-06-27, when he was added to the whitelist and promptly asked if anyone could lend him an iron pickaxe 1 2. Within weeks he was the season’s biggest grinder, and by his own cheerful account “the richest guy” and “the strongest guy” on the server 3 4.

The land grab

He staked his claim at once: the western sand island and the coast south and west of it 5, marked on the map at -527 68 323 6. He vouched for friends who came with him, Rk and ntize, and two days later threatened a war if ntize expanded into his land 7. Beneath the base sprawled an enormous cave system of mines, farms and a villager “torture room” 8. prop later called it “one of the only complete and properly designed bases on the server” 9; see Emperor Sian's Base.

Firsts

Sian collected server firsts the way other people collect cobblestone.

  • First netherite item, he believed. His sword, a blade he named Enma, was forged on 2022-07-04 10 (First Netherite Sword).
  • First full netherite “god armour”, as prop recorded it 11.
  • The only Warden kill, “as of now” 12, made from a distance with a Power bow on 2022-07-09 13 14 (Sian Kills the Warden).
  • The server’s first netherite block 15.

Feuds and losses

His great rival was ntize, known in game as _eb. They duelled constantly (Shyam vs Sian: Duels, Falls and Respawns); Sian slew eb with Enma 16, and a stolen Warden head fuelled the The First War: Warden Head Feud. Yet the two also formed the Sian-ntize alliance, hunting dragons and advancements together.

Grinding had its price. On 2022-07-16 Sian lost nearly everything, including his elytra and netherite tools, to piglin brutes in a bastion: “my stuff is in a bastion” 17. He had also killed 4528 creepers without a creeper head to show for it 18.

The grinder’s empire

Sian built a raid farm that gave “11 totems in 10 minutes” 19 (Sian's Raid Farm), then a cat farm 20, a villager hall, and a trapped Warden on display (Warden Cage). He killed his first Wither, called “disappointingly weak” 21, earned Beaconator 22, and bought a dragon egg for two netherite ingots 23. By mid-August he was on his fourth set of god armour 24.

His real obsession was advancements: “I care more about milestones bc they are more permanent” 25. He earned A Complete Catalogue on 12 August 26 and was chasing the stubborn “How Did We Get Here?” for weeks 27.

The statue

When Technoblade died, Sian built a tribute: a giant creeper head with a sculk-sensor door, then a slanted-sword statue. He announced “Finally finished my techno statue” on 2022-07-29 28 (Sian's Technoblade Memorial, The Technoblade Statue Reveal).

Season 2.5

Sian joined the Create-flavoured follow-up on 2023-03-27 and was immediately run over by prop’s train 29 (Sian Run Over by prop's Train). He moved into a ruined castle and declared “this is my kingdom” 30 (EmperorSian's Castle). prop used it to teach him Create, noting he was the only other person actively doing Create stuff 31.

Event A Kingdom Tour and Create Crash Course prop toured EmperorSian2460's castle base and gave him a long lesson on Create. Event Rapid Progress In Season 2's first days the new players raced to diamond gear while prop and nYx beautified their bases. Event Hayan and Sian Join Hayan was whitelisted for Season 2 and spent his first hour lost, then asked for Sian to be added too.
