Season 2 Anarchy

Season 2 had no server rules beyond no hacking or duping; land was yours only while you defended it, and groups made their own pacts.

Curiosity ASMP S2 rule

Axolotl SMP Season 2 opened as an anarchy server. nYx said nobody had time to set rules 1, and prop was blunt: “there are no rules against griefing” 2. Nobody could claim the mooshroom island before the ceremony, “since there are no laws” 3. GrimWatch put it as “anarchy = fuckery” 4.

What it meant

Prop’s definition was “anarchy in a non hacker way”: PvP, theft and griefing were fine, but hacking, duping and exploits were not 5. It was not 2b2t anarchy where anyone can bomb stuff; it was “make your own system”, with groups making their own pacts, though “among us” nobody griefed or stole 6.

Land worked by force. There was no claim plugin, and “if someone else expands to it first” it was theirs 7. kira added that territory was yours only as long as you defended it 8. Anyone could kill you and take your base 9, though admins marked bases on the map (see Land Claims and BlueMap Markers). Carpet bots were banned without a vote 10.

Drama on purpose

kira’s season rule: “no rules this season”. Even lag machines were allowed, unless others removed them in game 11. Prop said the anarchy was introduced for comedy, because Season 1 “thrived on unintentional drama” 12. By December, kira shrugged that explosions could not be traced “cause anarchy” 13.
